"The Onkaparinga Blanket" - Signed Print

 "The Onkaparinga Blanket " - Picture this, it's winter and you're at your Nan's house. You're absolutely freezing your ass off because your grandies never have the heater going because they don't want to use any electricity. Instead your dear sweet Nan pulls you out a blanket. But not just any blanket, it's one of those checked, pure wool blankets. An Onkaparinga Blanket. It's heavy and itchy and has the faintest smell of mothballs and dust. Yes it may be warm, but it is anything but comfortable and cosy. Begrudgingly you wrap yourself in it, fearing you'll die if frostbite if you don't. A staple rug in most Aussie households, we all know this rug.

Here in South Australia the manufacturer of these blankets was the Onkaparinga Woollen Mill and they're the most common brand you'll find dotted around the local op shops these days. This is what has inspired the name of my latest piece. Because I'm a vintage loving girlie myself, I have several of these blankets of my own....just so that one day I can torture my own grandchildren with the same itchy wool rug that I grew up with

Each print is personally signed and numbered.
Prints are printed onto 260GSM Semi Matte board with a 1.5cm bleed.
